Between 1996 and 2001 Curbside Journal forged twin vocals and guitars into inspired and melodic feel-it-burn-in-your-heart songs delivered with vitality and urgency. Andy Barksdale and Dave Fedorenko, the driving forces consistent through all lineups of the Oakland, CA band, weave their vocals and guitar lines around each other to create windows of melody and texture. Not quite punk and not quite emo, Curbside Journal were known for the intensity and honesty of their live performances in clubs and youth centers across the Western US. While several different tracks were featured on various compilations throughout their years of activity, 1999 saw the release of their only full length Pacific Standard Time.
