Hailing from the northern suburbs of NYC, Anthony J. “Curly” Mauro started making some buzz in underground enclaves across the east coast in the late 2010s via DIY style touring; becoming noted for his signature brand of acoustic driven synth-laced pop-punk, and an energetic stage prescence that made showgoers feel like they were watching a full band. Getting his start on gigs like coffee shops, bars, house shows, + small festivals. In 2019, with the release of his album <a href="spotify:album:598RWU8i9zPW4USdVPP0PX" data-name="H.O.P.E.">H.O.P.E.</a> his efforts brought him to bigger stages and audiences, skyrocketed by the lead single <a href="spotify:track:0TL6xaRRKNhqyczXDtAcAY" data-name="Fountain of Youth (Bonfire Song)">Fountain of Youth (Bonfire Song)</a> which became his first song to get airplay on a major radio station, as well as playlisted by the likes of <a href="spotify:playlist:7nTeT4r9WaNR1xwwaMfPqy" data-name="Scene Daddy">Scene Daddy</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:02ypHTPz1iPEC4a2s9ziBq" data-name="Shane Told (of Silverstein)">Shane Told (of Silverstein)</a>, he has since opened up for <a href="spotify:artist:22WwE0lMmGx4AJeyUfT7rh" data-name="Brokencyde">Brokencyde</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:59cc2f0IvGu6YVEtY4cS0p" data-name="Aaron West and The Roaring Twenties">Aaron West and The Roaring Twenties</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:65bszo3HcI6T49Q6oQSkAl" data-name="Handguns">Handguns</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2Dr2zHoPEuASW1kOODc5I2" data-name="Carousel Kings">Carousel Kings</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:6zqcGQ6MH6yetBUoquMnL7" data-name="guardin">guardin</a> establishing himself as an up-and-coming force in the alternative music scene.
