Cut The Ties are a 4 piece band from Eastbourne, East Sussex who play a blend of indie riffs with pop punk and hip hop rhythms infused for good measure.
The project began as songwriter Stan-H recruited fellow local musicians Sean Kahal and Harrison Tracey (previously involved in Eastbourne group Vegas Nerves and Manchester based JCK) to assist with full band renditions of his work live. Due to a number of line-up changes in the early days, the moniker “Stan-H & Friends” was coined to reflect the evolving state of the group.
The release of Stan’s November 2023 single “Upside Down” coincided with an invitation to appear on the BBC Introducing Sussex & Surrey live lounge, a landmark moment for all of the band. In the time since then, the band have been gigging frequently around Sussex, supporting many other up and coming artists from the respected south coast scene.
After the arrival of fourth member Will Stephens (The Veltmans & Loose Endz) to the group on guitar, the decision was made to coin a new name for the project as it reached another stage of evolution.
Now, with the combined force of multiple well versed songwriters working in tight collaboration, Cut The Ties are not a band to be slept on.
With 2 singles already in the barrel and plans for recording their latest work in the very near future, all members are incredibly excited to unleash their unique brand of indie to the scene.
