Cute Couple has established themselves as one of the freshest indie music breezes South Africa has experienced in recent years. Comprising of Mark Reichardt, who is the primary songwriter, vocalist and producer and Conor McCarthy, who is the passionate drummer and percussionist. The music of Cute Couple straddles pop, rock and electronica. Combining elements of pop song structure, analogue recording and instrumentation and experimental production. Their acclaimed debut album, Terminus was recorded and produced in a disused factory space in the docks in Cape Town where Reichardt was living at the time, culminating in a sound that is exceedingly slow-burning and idiosyncratic.
