Cy Anderson

Founded by Cy Anderson in 1981, Cy’s company, Cyrus Sound, has over 30 years experience in professional audio. Cy Anderson began playing guitar at the age of 10 and he has played all styles of music and toured the United States as a professional musician. He continues to make music and has several albums of his own music available on major music streaming services. Cy was a full-time faculty member in Digital Film and Video Production at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh from 1992 until 2014, and he was formerly Audio Production Engineer for WPGH-TV and also WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh. He’s worked in live sound and has many professional credits and he has done post production on two feature films. He is a member of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE), and a member of the University Film and Video Association. Cy has a B.S. from Penn State, and an M.S. Ed from Duquesne University in Instructional Technology. He currently is adjunct faculty at Point Park University and La Roche University teaching sound in their film programs. Cy is also mixing sound for Hearst Television's "Very Local" streaming network.
