Cynthia Catania

Cynthia Catania cut her teeth in the Los Angeles music scene. She came up performing alongside artists like Sara Bareilles, Garrison Starr, Chris Pierce, Gaby Moreno, Meiko, Colin Hay, and more. As a songwriter, she’s co-written songs with members of Macy Gray, Fitz and The Tantrums, and Joe 90 +. Her production experience includes mixing live sound for iconic artists; PJ Harvey, Imogen Heap, Tears for Fears, John Frusciante (Red Hot Chili Peppers), and Linda Perry (Four Non-Blondes). She’s also worked as the personal engineer for Eurythmics’ guitarist Dave Stewart — while managing shows/events for her indie label, olivoiL records.
In the mid/late 2000s, her band Saucy Monky played festivals across Europe, sharing stages with Wilco, The B-52s, Pink!, The Cure, Black Eyed Peas, Metric, Marianne Faithfull, Beth Hart, Nora Jones, and more.
Currently living in Los Angeles, Cynthia is recording her latest EP with collaborator Rich Devletian (OURS, Jason Ryterband, Songlab). The duo captivates audiences with their cinematic-baroque pop, vintage indie sound. Known for her hypnotic, self-assured vocals, Cynthia blends the raw energy of Patti Smith with the dreamy allure of Lana Del Rey.
