D-Rec

This Vancouver based artist has been a significant character in the local and international hip-hop community for quite some time. Specializing in the sciences of DJ’ing and production, D-Rec is highly respected by his peers and colleagues for his tasteful, precise cuts and hard-hitting beats with an emphasis on sampling and heavy percussive elements. He approaches his craft with a unique perspective and wide range of musical influences, crediting his parents as the main catalyst for his diverse, and at times, eclectic taste. As tour DJ for Canadian rap titan Snak the Ripper (and many other notable names in the industry), he is a certified road warrior, having toured extensively for over a decade. D-Rec has had the opportunity to tour extensively across Canada, the USA, Ecuador, Thailand and a vast amount of European countries. No matter where he goes, his reputation for rocking stages has been well earned. With a long resume of album cuts and production credits spanning almost 20 years, he has cultivated a prolific catalogue, in both quantity and quality. Whether on stage or in the studio, D-Rec brings his love and passion for the culture with him, and it’s evident in the way he moves and conducts himself.
