The EP, as its title might suggest, communicated a mindset that the rising artist had finally settled on: after backing out of college basketball offers, recording in a professional studio for the first time, and finding confidence in his skills as a rapper, D2X was finally ready to pursue that which truly made him happy. In 2021, D2X released his debut album, The Color Blue. “It’s safe to say by now that D2X is a true student of the game, and The Color Blue is a prime example that he is an amazing star and is making a great name not only for the Chicago music scene but Hip Hop as a whole.” Via Lyrical Lemonade
D2x went on to releasing his sophomore album “Hotel 1105” in 2023, which ascended his trajectory to higher levels. Being featured in Complex, Chicago Reader, On The Radar, Okay Player, Genius, Elsienotelise interview, NFR Podcast, Spotify’s Fresh Finds Hip-Hop cover artist, Dead End Hip Hop, Hane’s Next Gen Top 50, An International Tour, A growing fanbase, and two amazing EPs since then and he’s on the brink of much more.
D2x is here to stay.
