D72 is the alias of Dirk Wershofen, born in 1972 in Bad Neuenahr, Germany. He first entered the scene in the early ’90s as a DJ and producer, making waves in the growing techno movement. After stepping away from the spotlight for a while, he returned in 2019 – recharged and ready, bringing a signature sound that blends techno, trance, and future rave.
His tracks are emotional, energetic, and crafted for both the heart and the dancefloor – earning support from artists like Armin van Buuren, Aly & Fila, Markus Schulz, Solarstone, Paul van Dyk, and many more.
