D'Addio

D’Addio (Giulia Scarantino) is an Italian multi-instrumentalist producer and singer songwriter.
After many years in her band ShirleySaid, active since 2001 - which she released 2 EPs and one LP ‘Metro Lovers’ with - she now takes her own path.

Love, authenticity and no sense belonging took her to new imaginary lands, where there are no borders and no shame for being vulnerable.
D'Addio is a goodbye and a welcome to all the infinite possible new-selves that are yet to come.
A Separation is her debut single - released in October 2019 is her ‘hello’ to the world, no longer as the 'Girl in a Band' and it feels good - she says.

The songs from the self-titled album D’Addio are all produced and mixed by D’Addio (Giulia Scarantino) - Mastered by the engineer Fabrizio De Carolis at Reference Studio in Rome.

D’Addio music creates an intimate atmosphere, which its texture and feeling is characterized by a ‘dirty’ sound, sirens, hums, background noises and lips proximity to the mic caressing the idea of distortion - which is rather a way to dip into our fears and dance with them, not to fight them.
