Born Eghwubare Prosper, known as DAFE (DAH-fay), Dafe is a rising Nigerian singer, songwriter and recording artist who hails from Delta State, Nigeria’s big heart. As the last born in a family of 6, his connection to music began early, while listening to a local church choirs rehearse and growing up surrounded by the music his dad played at home, from hip-hop, reggae to highlife, then ended up becoming a drummer at a local church, planting the first seeds of his artistry.

In 2023, he fully committed to music, a moment on TikTok introduced his sound to a wider audience, marking the beginning of something bigger. Since then, he’s been steadily building a loyal fanbase, crafting more than just songs, but a world defined by feeling, depth, and intention. Pioneering a sound he calls Afrocinematic.

Blending Afrobeats, 80s pop and funk, Latin influences, and R&B, with his smooth velvety vocals, drawing quiet influence from artists like Michael Jackson, Billie Eilish, Bad Bunny, Brent Faiyaz, Tems, Rema, and Tyler, The Creator, his music exists in a space where people feel seen and safe.
