Dag Unenge started out as film music composer in 1983 at the age of 19. Doing a score for a short documentary, by his art class teacher. In the process of mixing he came in contact with the film team that was about to start making the movie, The Ninja Mission.
The producer and director thought Dag should get the opportunity to create the music for the upcoming trailer, to finance the movie. The result was a John Carpenter-style synth based music. Dag started working on the film full time and composed, recorded and produced the film score to Ninja Mission. That was the start of many years of film music composing for the Swedish film company.
In more recent years, 2015, he was asked to do a 3 minute 120 bpm 80-isch song for the game Hotline Miami II. This resulted in the song "Winding Theme #1" that ended up in game.
