DAINTY is an Alternative Rockband from Saxony, Germany. The music of the band ranges from funky grooves to melancholic melodies, but they’re always keeping the rocksounds alive. From 2005 onwards, the band was very successful in Europe and the US. DAINTY even invented their own genre called “Krauternative Rock” – a mixture of Kraut- and Alternative Rock. They are the winners of the Coca Cola Xmas Bandcontest 2007 and played nearly 500 gigs in Europe and North America, together with famous artists like Jamiroquai, Nena, Silbermond, Sunrise Avenue, Blaze Bayley (Ex-Iron Maiden), Peter Maffay, Clueso, Revolverheld, Sarah Connor, Paolo Nutini, Joy Denalane, UFO, Ian O’Brian Docker and at big events and festivals up to 75 000 people, such as the World Cyber Games, the Tobit Night Clubbing Festival, the Coca Cola Xmas Tour and the Jump Community Party. DAINTY was chosen for the music sampler “Die internationalen Hits 2008” and played their first US tour in 2009 and their second in 2010 with much success. Their music is characterized by catchy melodies, sophisticated arrangements and a disctinct alternative rock style. They are well known for their energetic live performances and their closeness to the audience.
