Daisy Johnston is an 21 year old singer-songwriter from Belfast, Northern Ireland. She released her first single “Electric Butterflies” in March 2021. She has just released her Debut EP Maiden Name in June 2025
Blending powerful vocals with soul-baring lyricism the EP takes listeners on a journey starting with the nature inspired and hopeful "Birdsong," to the more upbeat "The Pit." "Yellow Lines," is a reflection on setting boundaries in relationship and title track "Maiden Name" is the climax of the EP, discussing sacrificial love and touches particularly on the theme of women traditionally taking on a husbands' name in marriage.
