Daisy Sellas was born and raised on a ranch in Southern California, a sage-brush- and cattle-filled desert paradise just a few miles from the Pacific Ocean. Because of this, her musical roots lay firmly grounded in traditional cowboy music, but she gains inspiration from country music as well as classic rock. She started playing guitar and writing songs when she was nine years old, and has written over 200 songs in her lifetime. Her songs depict life through the eyes of a desert dwelling, curious and cautious young adult with a western soul as she navigates life and love, and grapples with questions that plague us. With influences ranging from the Rolling Stones to David Bowie, Taylor Swift to Patsy Cline and Cody Jinks to Kacey Musgraves, her lyrics and melodies are honest, smooth, easy on the ear and simply complex. Today she resides in Nashville, Tennessee, where she often plays shows and writers rounds around town in addition to many gigs back home in California and Idaho.
