Dalton Shackelford

A native Texan, born and raised in Fort Worth, Dalton has a passion for music, performance and songwriting. With over a decade of guitar training, in conjunction with his unique storytelling and vocal range, Dalton is quickly becoming one of the young new singer/songwriters to watch in North Texas. His music is heartfelt and lyrics complex, drawing from his faith and the ups and downs of life.

Influenced by a wide range of genres, Dalton draws inspiration from Texas Country, Classic Country, Americana and Christian. Country artist influences include Alan Jackson, Dylan Gosset, George Strait, and Luke Combs. Dalton also admires the faithful word from musical artists Chris Renzema, Cory Asbury, and Brandon Lake. From these artists, Dalton has developed his own style of music originals.

Dalton is a multi-instrumentalist who plays acoustic and electric guitar and is expanding to the steel guitar. He’s also trained in percussion and loves playing the drums and piano. In between classes and being an active high school student, he still finds time to write songs, sneaking in late-night sessions whenever inspiration strikes.
