Damien Sebe is a music producer and artist from Johannesburg, South Africa.
Damien, who had long been fascinated by how music was created, would finally have the opportunity to learn how to make beats on his first laptop in 2014. It wasn't until after high school that he decided to go full-time with music.
He first released instrumental music in December 2018 with his debut EP <a href="spotify:album:6BRYSs7N2vo8sCR64klTJp" data-name="Golden Hour">Golden Hour</a>, which includes the TikTok favorite <a href="spotify:track:0Q7AqQ5AGX2UG3JH2WxTGI" data-name="Palm Trees">Palm Trees</a>. He drew on his Hip Hop beat-making experience for this project.
After a few single releases, his music became more of a Lo-Fi Hip Hop and Chillhop sound. His 2019 releases, including the EP <a href="spotify:album:0wgA9yF3KQgDuc3QyIB6c8" data-name="Ocean Swallows the Sky">Ocean Swallows the Sky</a>, serve as the perfect catalyst for his newfound interest in the subgenre(s).
