It all started on the street corners of St. Louis, Missouri, with a junkie strumming a beat up old guitar and screaming his truth to anyone willing to listen. His name is Soloman Crowe, and
after years of addiction and homelessness, Soloman turned his pain into purpose; writing songs that told the unfiltered story of survival, struggle, and redemption. When he got clean and moved to Louisville Kentucky, he met Jeffrey Ward and Joe Lewis, his new brothers.
Together, they formed a new band built around Soloman's brutally honest songwriting.
That band is damnneardead.
With the motto “Damn Near Dead, but Not Dead Yet,” damnneardead blends Bluegrass, Punk Rock, and Southern Gothic storytelling into something raw, haunting, and fiercely human. Their music draws from near-death experiences, addiction, and mental illness; the kind of scars that shape both the artist and the art.
In just six months, damnneardead has built a devoted cult following, selling out shows across the Louisville area, moving merch like wildfire, and inspiring fans to tattoo their lyrics and logo on their skin. Their songs hit hard and cut deep; the kind you scream along to while wiping tears from your face.
