Damon Wood's Harmonious Junk began as a side project for then James Brown Guitarist, Damon Wood. In 2001, after 3 years touring the world with The Godfather Of Soul, Wood started Harmonious Junk as a project to write and arrange for, as well as keep his chops up for the big shows. Twenty-three years, a thousand shows and three albums later, Wood is back in the studio recording new original music for the first time in eleven years. 4 new singles have been released in 2024. Badlands Buskers, I Get Offended, Party In Your Pocket and the latest, Blue Baboon. Wood wrote, arranged, sang and performed all the instruments, co-produced, and programmed the drums. Wood also released 3 live band improvisations this year, Barking Tarantulas, Gator Crawl and The Penguin Slap. The band is based in Denver, Colorado and plays 40-50 shows a year.
