A precursor to the London Underground ambient-alternative instrumental Rock scene, Dan Ashton first came to notoriety when playing with the well renowned Alternative Rock band Purple Gaze in High School. Since then he has released several critically acclaimed solo albums, such as; "A Road that Tends to A Disaster" as well as his most recent release "It Was, in the End, the Best Kind of Adventure". The latter is a vivid soliloquy portraying thematic motifs such as regret, redemption and reflection. Upon its publication, critics have praised Ashton's consistently creative chord sequences and emotional, yet melodic, guitar and synthesiser playing.
