Dan Chiketa is a 19-year-old artist from Australia making music straight from his bedroom, mixing catchy melodies and relatable lyrics with playful storytelling and upbeat indie-pop vibes that you will catch urself singing throughout the day
Inspired by artists like Rex Orange County and Michael Jackson, Dan writes, records, produces, and mixes everything himself — turning late-night thoughts into feel-good, replay-worthy tracks. His love for music came from his dad, who could play just about anything. At a young age, Dan was set behind a drum kit, leading him to play at church. At 12, he “borrowed” his sister’s guitar while she was on holiday, taught himself Last Christmas by Wham!, and never looked back since. His first original song? A ringtone for his mum called Somebody’s Calling You.
Years later, he started teaching himself how to sing from scratch, he then dropped his debut single Give Me Your Love in 2022 and hasn’t slowed down since. He makes music to prove you don’t have to be born with it, you just have to want it enough. Every track is proof that passion beats talent when you’re willing to put in the work.
