Dan Powers

Dan Powers is a Southern Indiana songwriter who cut his teeth playing drums in punk bands and fronting the local indie act Caspian in the early 2000s. After writing and performing in fits and starts over the last several years, his debut album Empty Sky is set to release on April 14th. A collection of songs written over the years, this album reflects on themes of doubt, redemption, and trying hard to see the paths not taken. Heavily influenced by songwriters like John K. Samson and David Bazan, there is a lyrics-first approach to his songs, set against a lush indie/Americana backdrop.
