Hi, I’m Dan. I’m a songwriting Troubadour Family Man who lives on a homestead in a small town in Minnesota with my wife and 3 boys. I grew up in the suburbs of Detroit, MI, and moved to Minneapolis when I was 18 to study music, and I fell in love and stayed.
When I’m not on the road playing shows, you can find me in my studio writing & recording, tending to the homestead animals & land, bow-hunting, fishing, playing with my kids, or making (eating) delicious farm to table food from our land and sipping whiskey & wine with my love.
Now here are a few things about my music career that I should probably share in a music bio:
I’ve released many albums and singles over the years, but 2025 marks the latest release with “Wander,” and it’s one of my favorite bodies of work I’ve ever done.
My music has been featured in national ad spots, including a Budweiser commercial during the Super Bowl (2014), along with several movies and television shows.
Over the years I’ve had the honor of sharing the stage with some really cool artists & bands including The Civil Wars, Andy Grammer, Drew Holcomb, Eric Hutchinson, NeedtoBreathe, Augustana, Tyrone Wells, Haley Reinhart, John McLaughlin, Will Hoge, Sister Hazel, and more.
