It is like the whole world contains a tapestry of music within it, and I can feel the weave of the beauty, reproduce it through my own experience, and share it with others.”

Danae Kong grew up on beautiful Vancouver Island, drawing inspiration for her compositions from the Canadian wilderness. During her early years in Victoria, she studied piano and composition, collaborating with the Victoria Symphony. Her local involvement soon led to international studies in Switzerland and Paris. Danae completed her Diploma in Music and Worship Arts at Prairie College in May 2025. By pursuing a BMus in Composition at McGill Schulich School of Music in September 2025, Danae looks forward to continuing to share her unique sound with the world.
