Dane

Dane is an artist who values every step of the music making process. Hailing from Raleigh, NC, Dane is an artist/producer who writes, produces, mixes & masters his work all from his bedroom. Growing up the in the 00's, his childhood was filled listening to the classics of the 60's & 70's and more importantly 2000's Hip-Hop. The understanding he gained through these genres has a major influence on the sounds he pulls from in his music.

Dane's music career has been a rollercoaster. He had to go through many ups and downs in order to be the fully-formed artist he is today. In 2016, under a different moniker, he had a run of songs go viral, the biggest of which being "Colder". The song amassed over 400,000 plays across platforms and led to getting exposure on Complex, Pigeons & Planes & BBC Radio 1. But with this success came many music professionals & labels trying to take advantage of a situation. After many frustrations the initial buzz faded out. Leaving Dane with many questions on how to move forward.

From that experience, Dane devoted himself to his craft. He began making 3 beats a day for three years in order to get to the point where he had full control over the music and sound he was creating. Along with this growth musically, Dane sharpened his skillset in marketing, video editing and audio production, graduating with a degree in Business Administration in 2019. He is now fully focused off the back of his highly successful debut project "GRENADINE SOLDIER".
