Raised in a musicians’ family in Canary Islands (Spain), Dani González was born in November 1995 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the son of a country keyboard and guitar player father and a singer and guitar player mother. In his early years, Dani González was influenced by country, rock n’ roll and pop music and started to learn guitar and piano at home. In 2015, he entered the High Conservatory of Music of Canarias (Spain) where he studied classical and modern music theory and jazz guitar.
After having started his career as a professional musician in Spain, Dani González has been performing with lots of different blues, rock, jazz and metal bands as a singer and guitarist, as well as composing his own songs. Always curious about every kind of music, he has learnt from different styles of music, such as Neo Soul, Post Rock, Indie or even Gypsy Jazz, which is reflected in his way of composing and playing. Although he has been normally seen as a soulful singer-songwriter, he is also an accomplished guitar player influenced by legends such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joe Bonamassa, John Scofield or Gary Moore. Beside this, he is also a member of the prog metal band Gatvol.
After the release of “Iceberg” and “Ropes” in 2019, Dani González will now be performing around the UK and releasing new music during 2020.
