Daniel Dyonisius is an Indonesian guitarist and composer. A mostly a self-taught musician, he received the <a href="spotify:artist:2CvCyf1gEVhI0mX6aFXmVI" data-name="Paul Simon">Paul Simon</a> Award from Berklee Online. His musical works have since gained international recognition through <a href="spotify:artist:1nDqTUspmq8IXhcEZT93iq" data-name="Lee Ritenour">Lee Ritenour</a> Six String Theory and 7 Virtual Jazz Club.
Dan’s debut album, <a href="spotify:track:2jOfskbjbh28WE5NwGmDkm" data-name="Miles to Go">Miles to Go</a>, captures his love for improvisation primarily through his original compositions. Dan's fusion, rock, and blues compositions are "as impressive as the way he wields his axe" (All About Jazz). Featuring <a href="spotify:artist:1DvbGHKUGTOIns3BXzyKhB" data-name="Dewa Budjana">Dewa Budjana</a> (guitar), the album is “a blend of jazz and rock, delivered with freshness, originality and sincerity" (Jazz London Radio). In the 2022 Anugerah Musik Indonesia (AMI Awards), ‘Miles to Go’ was nominated under two categories: Best Jazz Albums and Best Instrumental Music Production.
In 2023, Dan formed <a href="spotify:artist:6fXdjm6jzWm84eEvVqsezl" data-name="Varnasvara">Varnasvara</a>: a jazz rock collective that explores interactions between songwriting, electronic music, and diverse styles of Indonesian traditional music. Following more than a year of experimentation, Dan teams up with Varnasvara to release two singles: <a href="spotify:album:5vbTI1kWKzNbMr7lYDbWKs" data-name="Relung">Relung</a> (featuring <a href="spotify:artist:6oBbSq1WI51saPC5Vys7z2" data-name="Sri Hanuraga">Sri Hanuraga</a>) and <a href="spotify:track:7KONX8tZfOzS0AnnqOcGbV" data-name="Kinasih">Kinasih</a>.
