Daniel Karl Morgan is an indie-rock musician based in Llanelli, South Wales, UK.
As well as fronting several Welsh outfits, most notably indie-pop band <a href="spotify:artist:5fhti4Zxo3QddSQAX6gCuE" data-name="Artimus Crisis">Artimus Crisis</a> and prog-inspired hard rock band <a href="spotify:artist:1d67OtqHv9R9sHtTa0V0uo" data-name="Time Circus">Time Circus</a>, Daniel has been performing and recording as a singer-songwriter since the year 2000.
Described by the press as “a stalwart of the local music scene”, Daniel draws his influence from 70’s classic rock, 90’s indie-rock, grunge, prog-rock, and songsters such as Bob Dylan, Nick Drake and <a href="spotify:artist:3nnQpaTvKb5jCQabZefACI" data-name="Jeff Buckley">Jeff Buckley</a>.
“The first proper album I bought on tape cassette was ‘Parklife’ by <a href="spotify:artist:7MhMgCo0Bl0Kukl93PZbYS" data-name="Blur">Blur</a> and I’ve never looked back.”
Since the moment he penned his first songs, Dan has strived to create music with catchy melodies and intelligent lyrics whilst filling his records with crafted guitar parts and vocal harmonies.
“Some of my favourite acts are those that broke free from the constraints of specific styles and genres; whether it’s <a href="spotify:artist:6w6z8m4WXX7Tub4Rb6Lu7R" data-name="Jethro Tull">Jethro Tull</a> fusing classic rock, prog and folk, The Clash incorporating reggae and funk into their DIY punk toolset, or Jeff Buckley combining alt-rock guitar riffs with delicate and euphoric vocals, I love the taste of a delicious musical mixing-pot.”
