Daniel Kieve

From an early age, I had a wide and eclectic taste in music, thanks to my family's diverse preferences - ranging from punk rock, Kate Bush & Bee Gees, to classical music and musical theatre. This rich musical backdrop set the stage for my lifelong passion.

As a teenager, I studied piano and composition at the Royal College of Music Junior Department, where I loved hearing my compositions performed by other musicians. After completing a music degree at Sheffield University, I spent years playing covers on cruise ships and at weddings, performing songs by artists like Elton John, Frank Sinatra, and Michael Bublé. While I loved jazz standards and pop classics, my original songs usually took a back seat to popular requests.

Now, with a full-time day job in marketing and a loving family, I’ve decided to focus on my original music. Performing at open mics and recording in the studio has reignited my passion for songwriting. My songs, which explore themes like the natural environment, war and peace, and the complexities of relationships, are deeply personal.
