Daniel Mist is a French singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer who crafts a poetic, cinematic, and surreal world through his music.
After studying mathematics at university, he began recording consistently on his own and independently released his debut EP Troubles in 2020. He followed this with his second EP, Take Me Back To School, in 2022, gaining attention from the French indie music press and performing at various shows within the Parisian indie scene.
Inspired by artists like Thom Yorke, James Blake, and Frank Ocean, he shares a taste for risk and sonic experimentation, along with a tendency to blur the boundaries between genres. He sings in English, blending subtle melancholic vocal melodies with electronic percussion and hip-hop influences.
In June 2025, following the release of two singles, he unveiled his latest EP, ‘The Search’, immersing listeners in a world that is melancholic, poetic, and introspective. Here, the boundary between the conscious and the unconscious blurs—just like the line between fiction and reality.
