Daniela Begonja

Daniela Begonja is a singer/songwriter/guitarist from Queens, New York. Daniela has always been so drawn to music and creativity. During her childhood, you would always catch Daniela expressing creativity in many different ways. At the age of eight, Daniela joined her school chorus and since then, she’s been in community theater groups, tackling instruments on her own, and focusing on her singing. At the age of 12, Daniela taught herself to play the ukulele through YouTube videos. Being able to play an instrument opened a new world of music for Daniela, and she wanted more of it. This is when Daniela decided to teach herself guitar, and since then, guitar has been her main instrument of focus. In 2020 when the Covid-19 lockdown went into motion, Daniela turned to music and songwriting as an outlet. Songwriting and composing guitar became part of Daniela’s daily routine. The emotions that she felt were turned into inspiration to write and create songs. To this day, Daniela gets a lot of her inspiration from singer/songwriter Abby Cates and Olivia Rodrigo. Daniela feels connected to them as artists rather than just liking their music.

In March of 2022, Daniela wrote a song called “Why Did It Have To Be You?” She felt so connected to this song. Releasing her own music has always been a ‘what if’ thought in the back of her head, but with this song, Daniela knew it had to be shared with the world. Daniela is very excited to continue making music and grow as an artist.
