Danny Blueberry

Danny Blueberry is a Singer-Songwriter and Master Story Teller based in Montreal, Canada.

His songs cover several genres that include indie folk, dream pop, adult contemporary, americana and alt-rock but they start with his early life growing up in a devout religious community with roots in Hungary and Germany.

His love for beautiful eastern European melodies led him to join a boys choir and at age eleven Danny wrote his first song.

Throughout the years of isolation, Danny wrote songs about his experiences living a lifestyle he did not fit into, with his guitar as his only confidant and he kept those songs as precious entries in an invisible diary.

Starting with open mics that lead to his own shows, Danny created a stage presence that is entertaining and energetic – his shows involves a combination of storytelling, comedy, ballads, and rock.

To date, Danny has written over seventy songs, in many different genres

In 2021 Danny went to Taiwan to spend time with his 14 year old son who lives there with his mother.

While in Taiwan, Danny met two exceptional American musicians who are based there.

Mike McLaughlin and Chuck Payne and Danny Blueberry spent eight months recording and producing 28 original songs that Danny had written over a forty year period.

These songs are now being released monthly together with a video and will eventually be part of a collection that will be called “The Opium Year”
