Danny Chaimson & The 11th Hour

Danny Chaimson hails from the suburbs of Chicago, and cut his teeth as a touring and studio musician during a long stint in LA in the 2000&#39;s, working with artists as diverse as <a href="spotify:artist:4WmMnGO1nLIsE85XwcBAZE" data-name="Orgone">Orgone</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1Cq0LAHFfvUTBEtMPXUidI" data-name="O.A.R.">O.A.R.</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4v4xuH9VypORYabMnhPLt1" data-name="Jem">Jem</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5LHRHt1k9lMyONurDHEdrp" data-name="Tyga">Tyga</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2KsP6tYLJlTBvSUxnwlVWa" data-name="Mike Posner">Mike Posner</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:0IF46mUS8NXjgHabxk2MCM" data-name="Kelis">Kelis</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:2auiVi8sUZo17dLy1HwrTU" data-name="Solange">Solange</a>, as well as being a member of the criminally underrated LA band, <a href="spotify:artist:54mEwEFLXzO0cWUDZu8tCh" data-name="The Southland">The Southland</a>. In &#39;09, Cold Classic Records signed him and enlisted the help of his LA touring pals and his buddies in Orgone to produce and record &#39;Young Blood, Old Soul&#39;, a well received record dripping with New Orleans flavored soul and Chicago Blues influences. The Chicago Tribune called the record, &quot;an uber-catchy blast of laid-back, pop-based soul-funk, as if Billy Joel&#39;s been staying up late listening to Curtis Mayfield&quot;. In &#39;10, the single &quot;This is Life&quot; made its way on to tastemaker station KCRW&#39;s Morning Becomes Eclectic, and was licensed to NBC&#39;s &quot;Parenthood&quot;, and LA Weekly called Danny Chaimson &amp; the 11th Hour&#39;s performance at SXSW that year their discovery moment of the festival. After the festival, the band returned to Chicago to play a sold out show..only to not be heard from again.
Since then, the single &quot;Cold Night in Chicago&quot; was licensed to the popular video game &quot;Watch Dogs&quot;, and &quot;Bobblehead Girl&quot; made its way to the big screen, appearing in the hit movie, &quot;The Lincoln Lawyer&quot; in 2011, and on the movie&#39;s soundtrack as well. Chaimson has continued producing and writing for <a href="spotify:artist:4I2QW85rkIhCRRZt1kuBqS" data-name="GoldFord">GoldFord</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:4WmMnGO1nLIsE85XwcBAZE" data-name="Orgone">Orgone</a> in recent years, with new material in the works.
