Danny Goring grew up in Sussex, England writing songs and forming various bands and musical projects from an early age. He sang and played guitar in Newcastle based indie band The History Chair before returning to Sussex following a journey to West Africa back to the roots of rhythm and harmony.
Danny has been consistently involved in grassroots community music projects in Sussex and formed indie folk-rockers The Wild Service with his brother George in the later 90s.
Drawing on folk and roots based forms, Danny creates lyrical songs with personal and universal themes and cites Bob Dylan, William Blake, Bob Marley, Billy Bragg and The Copper Family amongst his many influences.
In 2019 Danny linked up with Finnish/Swedish producer Nalle Ahlstedt and has released five digital singles on the D8 Music label including ‘The Lamb Becomes The Lion’ which continues to receive regular airplay worldwide.
Danny is currently performing with the accomplished rhythm section of Darren Barnes and Joe Prussner to audiences in and around his hometown of Hastings.
