Danny the Wildchild originates from the house music haven of Chicago and combines hip-hop, drum'n'bass, and turntablism. He started spinning at the age of nine and earned his alias when he won his first DJ contest at the age of twelve. He mainly made a name for himself by touring the world, playing at large parties and high profile events. He has performed with such names as <a href="spotify:artist:5MxgS8Fg1h5k4ccyioVcT0">Q-Bert</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1Z8ODXyhEBi3WynYw0Rya6">De La Soul</a>, and Mixmaster Mike. His first larger production mix CD, Booked 001, was released in 2001. Sadly, the disc featured little of his turntable heroics and became one of the bigger disappointments of the year.
