DannyLO

Born and raised on the Northside of Chicago and transplanted to the SF Bay Area in 2013, dannyLO (aka Dan E.) first appeared on the Drum and Bass radar with 2010's Skankin Ting, a sub bass dominated, jungle inspired track that received rotational support on drum and bass specials on BBC One Xtra and Radio One as well as dancefloor recognition, internationally. Over the next few years Danny experimented with sounds spanning across amen-heavy jungle rollers including collabs with Jinx on the legendary Bristol imprint Ruffneck Ting, a slate of dubwise inspired releases and remixes for the Montreal based In Da Jungle Recordings, and more soulful liquid singles and tracks across Soul Deep Recordings, Deconstructed Recordings, and Brazilian label DNBB.

Fast forward to 2022 to find Danny linked up with the stateside, now Australia-based drum and bass veteran and label owner, Will Miles, for a series of releases on the Miles A Head Recordings imprint. With a growing catalogue of fresh tracks, often drenched in organic synths and moody melodies, Danny's sound has further taken shape. But even as he maps a new journey through drum and bass, listeners can still expect to find the dancefloor focused drums and deep basslines that harken back to his origins.
