Dante LaBelle

Life’s trials, tests, and tribulations could not prevent Jamaican-American R&B artist from striving to the top to achieve all of his goals he set forth ahead of his musically.

Born and raised to a large family in Uniondale, New York, Danté LaBelle began his singing career at the age of ten after receiving his inspiration from a Michael Jackson concert he watched on television. This newfound love of music and dance moves led LaBelle to use a computer system at school called GarageBand in order to create his own unique beats which he then sang over.

At the age of eleven, Danté performed in front of large crowds when he joined the church choir, and soon enough, the choir’s leader saw his potential and decided to give him leads and solos. After seeing positivity come forth through his singing, LaBelle began writing and performing his own original music at church, further testing his capabilities.

Danté ’s purpose in music is to use it as his personal meditation and medication, especially after the death of his personal inspiration and motivator, his grandmother, while pursuing his GED.
