Daphne and the Mystery Machines

Daphne Culver, Missouri native; emancipated at 16, leaves home with a “shiner” and winds up dropping out to make ends meet, working nights at a paintball factory, & at a grocery store, until she realized that was not her intended path . GED , ACT tested to land College of the Ozarks. Top of her class, deans list. Still wanting something more.. auditioned for guitarist in punk band, to Nashville, where she stayed for over a decade. The punk band was short lived. She took a job changing oil, worked her way up to Store Manager. During that time she and friends formed a band called The Granny Whites but was just a harmony singer /guitarist. playing PRIDE festivals during the time America was fighting for equal rights for marraige and housing . That was a success, but most of the band members got married and having children & had to switch gears. Still wanting to play music, she then formed DATMM . it immediately took flight. Playing Live on the Green, Music City Roots,countless festivals , even landed on “King of the Road” Roger Miller tribute alongside Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton and more. In 2019 she survived a traumatic brain injury, coma. Resulting in speech/cognitive/memory issues, not expected to heal, but speech&occ. therapy, EMDR, GOD and ……By 2024 she had made one performance appearance and by 2025 preparing for studio album, highly anticipated from Stockholm, Japan, and US . touching the lives of many with her story and lyrical authenticity.
