Darband's new album, Solitude, delves into conflicts of life and death, love and its absence, transience, and solitude. The album commences with Memories, a recollection of distant memories written by Darband. The themes continue in Solitude, exploring various dimensions of solitude, considering past and collective memories. Grandma's House revisits a long-lost childhood. Ravage is Darband's musical interpretation of a Hafez poem. Startled from a Dream captures simple moments of love. Ghazal 759 is a musical adaptation of a Rumi poem. Lastly, Snails, featuring the prominent contemporary poet Roja Chamankar, examines love in a patriarchal culture.
