DARE SUMMER is the artist project of London-based composer, songwriter, singer, piano-player and flautist, Lucinda Gallant who has been writing songs for as long as she can remember and is as comfortable writing and recording electro pop bangers as she is emotionally-charged piano-led ballads. All her songs start out as piano improvisations which reflect her mood and situation. She then finds melodies in the harmony and words in her experiences. For Dare Summer, Lucinda draws inspiration from the 70s disco era, classic songwriters such as Elton John, Billy Joel and Carole King, early 80s synth bands, as well as classical music and jazz standards.
