Darien Christopher

An artist out of Northern Virginia, Darien Christopher blends earworm melodies and potent bars & flows with seemingly little to no effort. His start in music came in late 2017, shortly after graduating high school, under the stage name TheOtherSide.

After a few years of a variety of SoundCloud drops, the DMV artist decided to rebrand, changing his stage name to the name his mother gave him, Darien Christopher. It was under this title he began dropping music on all platforms. With his first single, GOD, dropping in early 2020, D. Chris showed that he was locking into a deeper, more introspective headspace in his music.

The late 2020 follow-up project, Take Time EP, doubled down on this new perspective and gave listeners a deeper look into the artist's psyche while still offering catchy melodies on songs like Mama's Whip & Saturday Cartoons. Since following up with 2021 releases like Smoke Circle Music & BULLSHIT! as well as the 2022 single, Restown Freestyle, Christopher has been relatively quiet; showing off little more than the occasional snippet on his social media. With Christopher always writing and working in the background, 2024 looks to be the year that the artist makes a return to music.
