Darius Ford

Darius Ford is a native of Norfolk, VA and began singing at the age of six years old. As a young boy, Darius was a part of Norfolk State University’s music program for young children where he learned singing and piano. In addition, he was a part of the choir for his church, as well as the chorus for his elementary school. Building upon that foundation, Darius began taking the art of singing more serious, studying different genres and techniques of music. However, due to family's wishes, he received a bachelor’s degree in psychology at Regent University and a master’s degree in divinity at Regent University. Teaching and counseling became his profession. However, Darius knew that music was what he truly desired to do. In 2020, he was tasked with taking care of his grandmother full time. As a result, it opened up more time and dedication to his music career. Some of Darius’s musical inspiration includes Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald, Luther Vandross, Donny Hathaway, Chet Baker, Lalah Hathaway, Chi-Lites, and Funkadelic, just to name a few. Today, Darius Ford is beginning to make an indelible mark in the music scene through his vocals and lyrics.
