Nick Nora (Tomorrows Society, Living Architecture, Weatherlight) gained his musical prowess playing music in both the Fueled by Ramen tinged Southern Florida and Folk/Indie Art Rock Northern Florida music scenes. In 2016 he moved to Southern California where he met Lucas Fisher (Attacktheshark!, Ghosts On Parade, To Be Gentle). They bonded over their shared love of music, Magic the Gathering, and video games.
The two put out an album titled "On the Memory of Perfection" in the winter of 2019, and followed it up with an E.P. titled "Joi" in the Fall of that same year.
Like a lot of things with the COVID-19 Pandemic, Darjeeling Photo Club fizzled out. The band went on indefinite hiatus until 2023 when Nick was asked to put the band back together.
While recruiting new bandmates, Nick crossed paths with Simon Reyes (Band Leader for the Free Will Chamber Orchestra) after connecting with musicians in Ventura California's music scene. Simon then tapped Brandon Martinez (Drone Strike) to play guitar and sing, as well as Alex Ford (Face for Radio, The Traveling Nobody’s) to play drums. Bass duties alternate between Carson Schumm (Heriloom) and Matt Hershberger (The Traveling Nobody’s).
Darjeeling Photo Club has finished their Sophomore album, and is extremely excited to share it with you all soon.
