The history of Dark Dimension goes back to 2006, when the founders of the band, guitarist Tyr, met like-minded people in the person of Tyrant and Grim. It all started in Uzbekistan in Navoi, which is located near the Kyzylkum desert, the mystical ancient ruins in the sands of which are legendary.
Mysticism of the East and passion for black metal with its dark aesthetics created the first black metal band in Uzbekistan.
Recorded in 2006 demo was selling out vigorously among black metal fans in Uzbekistan.
The first full-length album "On the bones of rotten dogma" was released in 2008. The style of the music can be characterized as uncompromising black metal typical of the second wave. However lyrics are based on mixing of antireligious themes with singing of ancient evil slumbering in the depths of Kyzylkum desert ruins. Which resonates with the dark part of the human soul.
In 2012 the band suspends its activity, having recorded an EP and prepare material for a new album, which is never released, while Tyr and Grim are still in the band.
In 2021 Grim alone decides to revive the Dark Dimension, releasing all previously unreleased stuff.
In 2023 a new album is planned to be released.
