Originally a side project by Seattle rapper Verse The Villain, Dark Madder grew into his main creative outlet, transforming from a concept album into a duo consisting of Verse and producer Kissler. 'Collapse: Quantum Suicide' was a self described way for Verse to test the esoteric waters with a "boom-bap" core and a deadpan satire on humanity's vices. After Kissler produced a few standout tracks on Verse's 2010 album 'Girls Make Amateur...' the two would further feed that creative chemistry and the subsequent rebirth of Dark Madder followed. With Dark Madder's sophomore release 'Futuraphilia' came heavy synths, mockingly braggadocio wordplay and an aesthetic influenced by dystopian cyberpunk film and hyper sexualization. In February, 2018 the group announced it was in the early stages of creating its next full length album titled 'Tripping The Fringe'.
