Singer Scott Mick from Flint Michigan, USA (Orbital3go, ex-PanicOrPain) and keyboardist & producer Per-Anders Kurenbach (including Psyche, The Eternal Afflict, Nine Circles) met in 2009 because of their mutual interest in " Shock Therapy "and realized that they have musical similarities. After exchanging music ideas and 8 successful concerts as part of a Tribute-To-Shock-Therapy-Tour 2018, they decided to launch DARK STATE.
They see their music as a kind of "hybrid" of different genres. Scott's soft to rock sounding rough voice merges in wonderful harmony with Per-Anders' melodious, hard music sounds.
