DARK WINGS SYNDROME comes up after two years of BARROS ONYX musical silence and from his need to express himself musically.
However, the band want to reach a new musical language, and so the DWS counts on several international and national participations for the CD that was released in September 2010.
“ARCANE” the DWS´s debut album was mixed and mastered by David Castillo (KATATONIA, BLOODBATH, KLIMT 1918, DRACONIAN) at Ghostward Studio in Stockholm, Sweden.
The initial recording sessions for the CD took place at Teatro Construção (ATC), DWS Studio and 213 Studios (Portugal) between August and December 2009/ January 2010.
DARK WINGS SYNDROME´s debut album featured several guest appearances such as Nera (Darzamat/ NeraNatura) vocals on “Free- flowing”; Johnny Icon (Icon & The Black Roses) vocals on “Hadred/Ódio”; Susana Silva vocals on “My Silence”; Davide Tiso (Ephel Duath) additional guitar on “… in Hades (Pt. 1)”; Miriam Renvåg (SfinX, Ram-Zet) growl vocal on "...In Hades (Pt. 1)”; Ernesto Guerra (Heavenwood) vocals on “In My Crystal Cage”; Hugo Correia (Fadomorse) orchestral arrangements & programming on “In My Crystal Cage”; Artur Fernandes (Danças Ocultas) diatonic accordion on “Unknown Pleasures”; Karolina Vel Death (Skeptical Minds) vocals on “Unknown Pleasures”.
