Formed in 2010, Darkest Before Dawn set out as Christians writing Metalcore and playing those songs around the Orlando FL area. Originally, Travis Ratliff screaming, David Quintero singing, Carlos Ruiz on guitar, Michael Quigley on drums, Jaime Hinckley on guitar, Brandon Premo on keyboard, and Daniel Aponte on bass. Then, once Jaime left very early on, David began playing guitar as well. Eventually Daniel left, and Michael (Mikey) Zeff took over on bass. Carlos wrote a majority of the guitar parts, while David wrote much as well, and each wrote most of their own parts respectively, while each also contributed outside of their direct role. David mixed all the tracks to produce all of Darkest Before Dawn’s tracks.
