Darling

We're Emory and Taylor, a two-piece that writes and and records from a home studio space in Los Angeles. We actually attended the University of Texas at the same time with the same major, but our paths never crossed until after we both coincidentally moved to LA. With our musical backgrounds and influences looking somewhat like a venn diagram, our sounds meet at the crossroads of energy and introspection. We make indie folk music, texturized by driving drum arrangements, organic guitar, and ethereal ambience. Basically, it's sad indie.

Writing songs is our form of meditation, of therapy, and our way of coping with any struggle we find ourselves in. We believe that this is inherently why we, as people, endure hardship. So that it can manifest itself on the other side as something beautiful. We're not perfectionists. We believe the beauty of music lies not in it's perfection, but rather in it's ability to capture and transmit a true state of feeling. We hope our music does that for you.
