Texas native Daron Norwood started singing since he was young; through years on the country music club circuit, his energetic uptempo numbers and moving ballads created a buzz that eventually led to Giant signing him. His 1994 self-titled debut was followed by Ready, Willing and Able (1995). Singles from both albums reached the country charts in the U.S. and Canada. He then quit making music in order to focus on recovery from addiction, and he founded the motivational program "Keep It Straight" in order to teach children about the dangers of drugs and alcohol. He released the single "In God We Trust" and later returned with his third album, I Still Believe, in 2012. He died in his apartment in Hereford, Texas on July 22, 2015, at the age of 49. ~ John Bush, Rovi
